June Guests 1: Knut and Sarah

Last weeks guests play an important role in the european free and independent radio scene, with many interesting projects for you to check out. http://knut.klingt.org

(Mobile Radio is the travelling radio and sound art project of Sarah Washington and Knut Aufermann. Our aim is to take radio production to places outside of the studio environment. Have a look at our broadcast itinerary where you can listen to excerpts of the shows we have produced so far. Photograph and text documentation of our past activities are also available for you to view.)

In the WORMstudio they concentrated on sound mining, to be used in various products- of the arp 2500 and the EMS Putney. We will hear from them in future days no doubt the result of their exploratory work.

The Science Fiction Radio Play Workshop by Felix Kubin

The idea behind this workshop is to produce a professional radio play within a period of 3 weeks. During the production phase, the participants will have access to the studio facilities of WORM including the use of vintage and digital synthesizers, samplers, microphones, hard-disc recording and professional peripheral equipment. The participants will form crews and cooperate in creating the play.
Felix Kubin is a composer, radio-playwright and performance artist from Hamburg.

WORKING ON THE SERGE

AN ONGOING STUDY PROJECT BY MERIJN AN MYSELF CONCERNING THE SERGE. GETTING TO KNOW THE REAL BEAST OF THE STUDIO. PRODUCING PATCHES, WE'LL TRY TO CREATE REPRODUCABLE PATCHES. HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO MAKE WORKABLE SCHEMATICS OF THE PROCESSES. TO BE POSTED HERE OF COURSE

latest guests: GOLDEN FUR

The Modern Composed Music by Golden Fur, is an interactif procedure between viola, cello and max msp processing. They worked in the studio to get some sample material to be used in future compositions. They worked three days in the studio, primarily working on the ARP 2500, 2600 and the Putney.

Vintage meets Vintage

Several people already came over to take pictures of this wonderful instrument, the ondes martenot, wich Julie Normal took along, for a three day work visit in our studio.
Delicate sounds. Julie is working with her brother, exploring sound combinations with the ARP 2500 and Putney and the martenot.

This weeks (06-04/09-04) pioneer in our audioshed is Ernst vd Loo, previous participant in the Electronic Field Recording Workshop; now working on a patch instigated, moderated Max MSP to modular synthesis composition. to sum it up shortly.

He's taking the studio gear full on on his first night in, arp 2500, serge, putney. He's recording it on a four track casette recorder. (TDKSA90)

VERNON & BURNS

V&B (www.myspace.com/vernonandburns) were in the studio, working on a radioplay, later this year to be broadcasted on vpro/radio6/cafe sonore, but on the Live Studio Event (Popular Noise For The Masses) they will present an 30 min extract, live, indeed. A small part of that we'll put on display here, shortly.
2 Years ago they produced another Horspil The Eldritch Transmissions, also here in the studio.

Artefakt in STUDIO (feb 2010)

Artefakt are Nick & Robin who worked in the WORM studio for nearly half a year, making a midi to cv routing, connecting the vintage synthesizers (thru 2 kentons). You can download their midi to cv manual on this blog.
They also worked a week with th midi to cv chain and produced the following song: Listen to their tune soul of the machine

here two small movies, one about www.wormstation.nl, were we keep and present our live audio and clips files from the past 10 years. here the edit and tag team!
